About DEF
Diesel exhaust fluid was created in response to the 2010 Diesel Emissions Standards required by the EPA. DEF, combined with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, is used to reduce pollution from diesel vehicles and equipment by more than 90%. DEF is non-toxic, non-polluting, non-hazardous, and non-flammable.
The vast majority of engine manufacturers prefer SCR technology, making DEF a necessity when operating heavy equipment. Without proper fluid levels, your trucks will stop working and could potentially void any warranties you may have on your equipment.
